How many times have you heard, or said the words…” I haven’t been to Belle Isle in YEARS!??”
Well….now is definitely the time to check it out and by doing so, you can help others.
Sponsored by The Detroit Institute of Music Education (DIME), Sanctum House is having a Free Flow Music Festival fundraiser on Friday, August 4th. This will be the first live Belle Isle waterfront concert in the newly renovated Band Shell at the Detroit Historic Boat House. 100% of the donations will go to Sanctum House.
Sanctum House, based in Royal Oak, is a safe home for survivors of human trafficking. They offer a safe place and guidance for survivors to heal and rebuild their lives. It’s program not only offers shelter, but is a 24 month program of personal development and education for women 18 years of age or older. Sanctum House anticipates reaching younger trafficking victims and helping them to see that there is hope for a successful future “out of the life” they have experienced.
Tickets are $20 per person.
The event will be held on the Detroit Historic Boat Club grounds. The time is from 6-10 pm. Please visit Www.sanctumhouse.org to purchase tickets.
